Gnani, Sarvam and Murf join the speech provider lineup
Gnani and Sarvam are now available for transcription, and Gnani, Sarvam and Murf for voice — adding 200+ new voices and deeper Indian-language coverage.
Five new provider options are live in Assistant → Configure Model, covering both ends of the call:
Each one is marked with a New badge in the provider dropdown, so you can spot them without hunting through the list. Existing assistants are untouched — nothing switches provider on its own.
Transcription
Gnani — real-time transcription tuned for Indian speech, across 10 languages: Hindi, English (India), Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
Sarvam — 14 Indian languages, adding Odia, Assamese, Urdu and Nepali on top of the set above, plus an Auto Detect option for callers who switch language mid-conversation.
Both are picked in the Transcriber tab, and the language list narrows to what the provider actually supports as soon as you select it.
Voice
Gnani (timbre-v2.5) — 42 voices with named personas (professional, warm, energetic, authoritative). Language coverage includes auto-detect and a dedicated Hinglish option (hi-en) for mixed Hindi–English scripts.
Sarvam (Bulbul) — pick the model first, then the speaker:
- Bulbul v3 — the latest model, 37 speakers
The speaker list follows the selected model, and switching to Sarvam resets the model to a compatible one so a mismatched speaker can never be saved. Sarvam speaks Indian locales only — 11 languages, with no auto-detect.
Murf (Falcon 2) — the widest catalogue of the three: 117 voices across 24 locales, covering US, UK, Indian and Australian English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and nine Indian languages. Murf also adds:
- MultiNative voices — several voices read additional languages natively, so the language list shows every language the selected voice can actually speak, not a generic list
- Voice Speed — pace the delivery from −50% to +50%
How to use it
- Open your assistant and go to Configure Model.
- In the Transcriber tab, choose Gnani or Sarvam and set the language.
- In the Voice tab, choose Gnani, Sarvam or Murf — then pick the model (Sarvam), voice and language.
- Save and place a test call.
Things to know
- Gnani and Sarvam are built for Indian languages; for wider international coverage use Murf or an existing provider.
- Sarvam TTS has no auto-detect — set the language explicitly.
- With Murf, changing the voice can change the language options, since the list is filtered to what that voice supports.
